Program Description

The work accomplished in this program aims to facilitate clients' resiliency and post traumatic growth, by combining psycho-education, experiential methods and cognitive and behavioural resolutions. The sessions are designed to enable participants to learn what happens to people after trauma at neurological, emotional, physical and spiritual levels; making sense of one's post trauma reactions, sorting facts from reactions, making sense of one's beliefs, addressing the all-or-nothing thinking, understanding how beliefs change, and checking one's accuracy of beliefs. Healing for the long term -learn to be flexible, think flexibly, avoid impulsive changes, pay attention to your feelings and reactions, practice meditation or relaxation exercises, recognizing your strengths, and how to achieve emotional freedom.
