Database Inclusion Criteria

ConnexOntario is a provincial organization dedicated to helping individuals find mental health, addiction, and problem gambling services in Ontario. Our team collects service details that are used to educate and refer contacts from the ConnexOntario helpline to services that meets their needs. This data is also publicly accessible through our helpline website directory, utilized by various stakeholders for system planning, and shared with other information systems via data feeds.

The ConnexOntario database includes organizations that:

  • receive annual funding (in whole or in part) from the federal, provincial, or municipal governments, are subsidized through OHIP, OR maintain registered charitable status;
  • offer mental health and/or addiction services at no cost or sliding scale;
  • accept community and/or professional referrals;
  • are located in Ontario and serve all or part of its population OR are located in Canada and provide virtual services to the Ontario population.

Every effort is made to have comprehensive and detailed service records that are sufficiently descriptive for the purpose of helping people access services. Record maintenance includes annual validation to ensure service information is up-to-date and accurate.

Inclusion within the ConnexOntario database is free and does not imply endorsement or any comparative judgment of the quality of service provided.

ConnexOntario reserves the right to remove or exclude any service from the database for any reason. Grounds for removal or exclusion may include (but are not limited to) service non-delivery, fraud, misrepresentation, discrimination, criminal activity, operating outside licensing mandates, or refusal/inability to adequately maintain the service record.
