Program Description

Inpatient tertiary care for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Following recovery model principles individualized shared care plans are developed based on client goals. A focus on strengths and hope is sustained to work with clients towards increased independence and reintegration to community. In striving for excellence in all we do, we create a healing environment to promote health and enrich the lives of people living with mental illness and addiction. Multidisciplinary team uses holistic approach including health and wellness, group and individual therapies. 32 adult beds, 11 senior beds, 7 transitional care beds.

Access Information

Referral to Adults' Specialized Mental Health (criteria): Axis 1 predominant diagnosis - Severe and Persistent Mental Illness; has not responded to less intensive intervention; requires specific intensity and continuity that can only be provided in the Specialized Mental Health Inpatient Program; medically stable; and client motivated to attend groups and to engage in therapy. Doctor's referral required.
