Eating disorders are serious conditions related to persistent eating behaviours that negatively impact your health, your emotions and your ability to function in important areas of life. The most common eating disorders are anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge-eating disorder.

Support Within Housing - Mental Health
The ED RTF is a voluntary program that provides an opportunity for persons with an eating disorder to pursue recovery. The ED RTF provides 24-hour specialized programming rooted in psychosocial rehabilitation treatment, in a home-like, community setting. The ED RTF is a partnership with CMHA Thames Valley AMHS and London Health Sciences Centre's Adult Eating Disorders Service (AEDS). Those residing at the ED RTF concurrently attend the AEDS Day Treatment Service (DTS) and receive medical and therapeutic support from the AEDS team. The partnership between CMHA Thames Valley AMHS and LHSC allows clients to receive consistent care while participating in the DTS and EDRTF services. There are shared bedrooms, a shared bathroom, a kitchen for individuals to learn cooking skills as they progress through treatment, and a common living room.

Case Management/Supportive Counselling & Services - Mental Health
This program is provided to youth, 11-21 years old for medical surveillance who are diagnosed or need to be assessed for diagnosis of an eating disorder (not including binge eating disorder). This program has access to a nurse practitioner.

Counselling and Treatment
Individual counselling and group treatment are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, occupational therapist, social workers and mental health therapists to individuals with mental illness on an outpatient basis. Brief treatment model that provides ongoing assessment which guides the client's treatment planning needs. The program offers services to individuals who have a serious, chronic mental illness.

Inpatient
The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Eating Disorders Program provides expertise in the area of assessment and treatment of children and youth who present with eating disorders. The program includes an inpatient unit, a day treatment program and outpatient services. The inpatient program includes nine beds. Inpatient services include interdisciplinary assessment, medical stabilization, nutritional rehabilitation, psychoeducation, family meal support and family-based treatment.

The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Eating Disorders Program provides expertise in the area of assessment and treatment of children and youth who present with eating disorders. The program includes an inpatient unit, a day treatment program and outpatient services. The outpatient clinic team works in close collaboration with team/community therapists. Ongoing support from a primary care physician is required.
