CBT-T is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for adults with non-underweight eating disorders.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Eating disorders (CBT-E) is a psychological treatment designed for individuals with eating disorder psychopathology. Treatment is completed individually and focused to an individual's specific eating concerns.

Specialized Diagnostic Assessment measures the severity of the eating disorder diagnosis. It consists of a structured interview based on the DSM-V criteria for eating disorders, followed by the administration of psychometric tests and medical assessment with the Nurse Practitioner. The Specialized Diagnostic Assessment is administered before and after each treatment. The Specialized Diagnostic Assessment is the first step and required prior to admission to treatment.

This program provides central intake and referral for outpatient clinical eating disorders support in Windsor-Essex county.

Adults are offered treatment through our group program with some individual sessions. The group program is a mixture of educational and therapy groups. All participants of the eating disorder program need to be medically monitored either by their general practitioner or a nurse practitioner. For individuals under the age of 17, an individualized treatment plan is devised which usually includes: medical monitoring, nutritional counselling and family-based treatment.

Medical surveillance is provided to youth who have been diagnosed or need to be assessed for diagnosis of an eating disorder (not including binge eating disorder). This program has access to a nurse practitioner.

Individual counselling and group treatment are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, occupational therapist, social workers and mental health therapists to individuals with mental illness on an outpatient basis. Brief treatment model that provides ongoing assessment which guides the individual's treatment needs.

The Regional Eating Disorders Program provides expertise in the area of assessment and treatment of children and youth who present with severe or complex eating disorders. The program includes an inpatient unit, a partial hospitalization program, a day treatment program and outpatient services. Outpatient Services include individual and/or family therapy and can include medical consultation through clinic appointments with adolescent health physicians.
