Program Description

An Education and Community Partnership Program (ECPP) classroom, which is known as the Child and Youth Mental Health Day Program, in partnership with the Simcoe County District School Board and service is provided to children and youth from all areas of the North Simcoe Muskoka Region.

The focus of this program is to provide support for youth, during school hours, to meet their education needs while providing concurrent mental health focused treatment.
Support will include:
- recreational therapy activities
- individual and group therapy
- family supports
- child and youth psychiatry follow up when required
- clinical psychology may be available

Inclusion criteria includes: Grade 9 to 12 students who have exhausted the resources at their community school; exhibiting acute or chronic symptoms of anxiety and/or depression.

Access Information

Referrals for intake into the program are completed in collaboration with the student’s school.
