Program Description

The purpose of this program is provide urgent consultation for mental health services for children and youth. This includes assessments, individual and group treatment sessions and family work.

Access Information

Access to this program is obtained through referrals that are sent to the Acute Outpatient Services from RVH’s emergency department (ED) and psychiatrists, community pediatricians, and EDs throughout the North Simcoe Muskoka Region. Once these referrals are received, the intake social worker will review each referral and connect with families and youth to complete an intake screening, prioritize needs and book patient for further treatment. Intake meetings with the team occur every Thursday.
