Support Within Housing - Mental Health

Program Description

The Lodge on Dawson transitional housing will provide services and support to individuals struggling with chronic homelessness, addictions and mental health challenges with the goal of creating positive change in a supportive trauma informed environment.

This is a voluntary program that will service adults who are continuing treatment and rehabilitation for mental health and substance use issues. Residents must be medically stable and meet the criteria for high support housing needs.

Length of stay is dependent on each individual’s unique needs from several weeks to months for a max of 364 days. Staff are on site 24/7 and include nursing, social work, community support workers and consulting psychiatry/physician.

Involved service providers from partner organizations continue as case managers with their clients and provide leisure life skills, cultural practices, neuropsychology assessments and vocational rehabilitation.

Access Information

Referrals are accepted from any source including self-referrals, however, they will be directed to and processed by the Intake staff at the Lodge in consultation with the staff from the Home for Good Housing initiative.

The participants must all meet the eligibility criteria for the High Needs Housing list in addition to the program criteria for the Lodge.

This is not emergency housing.
