Crisis Intervention

Program Description

The crisis program is designed to provide immediate services to assist children/youth and their family in stabilizing the current crisis situation. This may involve an offer of brief services.

What is felt to be a crisis situation vary by individuals and families but may include the following;
- Thought or actions related to self/harm
- Threats to hurt one’s self
- Sudden intense behavioural changes
- Violent behaviour in a child or youth under the age of 18

Please call first. When you call you will leave a message and your call will be returned by a worker generally within the hour. Please be sure to leave your name and a phone number where you will be reachable for the next hour.
