Program Description

Alternative housing for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties who have potential for independent community living.

Program is designed to assist individuals in learning independent living skills that will enable the individual to become a self-sustaining member of the community.

This program offers: short-term transitional accommodations within home and community programs.

Access Information

Eighteen years of age and older living with a mental health issue, whose formal and informal supports are insufficient for day to day functioning; who are in need of advocacy; who are willing to live cooperatively; who have the ability to follow house rules; and who meet selection criteria. Cognitive functioning level must allow clients to live independently with minimal support and supervision. Referrals from physician, community organization, family, friend, and/or self. Must be a resident of Rainy River District. In person interview/eligibility screening.
