Program Description

The program is to assist Indigenous adults with a serious mental illness and/or substance use issue to live successfully in the community through the provision of mental health services, which are geared to individual need.

Ooshke Bemahdesewin provides goal oriented culturally competent rehabilitation services.

Access Information

This program is part of a centralized screening and intake process. Referrals can come from families, self, psychiatrists, and other community organizations.

To qualify for the program, the individual must agree to be an active participant in the recovery/ rehabilitation process. The candidate must have a primary diagnosis of a serious mental illness.
