Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health

Program Description

The counselling service program provides counselling for Anishinaabe individuals, couples and families coping with stressful personal issues.

The program assists clients in identifying the issues they would like to address and in developing an individual counselling plan to address the identified issues such as; trauma, anger management, and grief. The program schedules appointments that best meet the client's need and availability of the counsellor.

Community workshops and training and information sessions in conjunction with community support services and community workers are also offered.

Access Information

Requests for service are accepted over the phone or by individuals presenting at the organization's office. Referrals are accepted from sister organizations or other mental health professionals.

A medical referral is not required; however, referrals from a physician are welcome.
