Type Of Service

Bed-Based Treatment - Mental Health

Program Description

Children’s Centre Thunder Bay (CCTB) Live-in Treatment is an intensive program specifically for children/youth who are in severe crisis, experiencing emotional dysregulation, extreme behavioural difficulties, and/or are at high risk for self-harm. The treatment program provides children/youth with a safe and responsive home-like environment within a residential neighbourhood.

The purpose of the program is to provide stabilization, assessment and treatment away from the child/youth’s home environment, with the ultimate goal of facilitating a successful transition back home.

Parents/Caregivers are actively involved in the child/youth's treatment plan.
