Peer/Self-Help - Mental Health
A harm reduction based program for individuals with a history of or current substance use issues. Focuses on promoting personal recovery, community integration and increased quality of life through participation in paid training sessions over the course of 10 weeks (2 days per week for 2 hours), followed by paid work opportunity (up to maximum of 40 hours).
Eligibility: must live in Supportive Housing for People with Problematic Substance Use (SHPPSU) or access the Corner Drop In (St. Stephen's Community House), The Meeting Place (West Neighbourhood House), Queen West Community Health Centre or St. Felix.
Individuals interested can apply by writing a letter of interest and submitting to the program Coordinator.
