Program Description

Uses eclectic approach, some emphasis on solution focus, systems approach. Individual and family counselling offered at all office sites (can provide counselling by phone for those unable/unwilling to attend). Generally, appointments are 60 minutes, frequency and duration dependent on need. Community treatment providing assessment treatment planning, referral, case management, and outpatient counselling for clients of all ages concerned about gambling and their families.

Organization's Current Reported COVID-19 Response

COVID-19: CASON offices will be closed to the general public effective March 17, 2020. Clients will receive counselling at their regularly scheduled appointment time via telephone. All groups have been postponed. New contacts being accepted by telephone.

Access Information

The MOH-approved standardized assessments are provided in-house and a psychosocial interview is also used. The gambler and/or concerned others can access services. Clients can remain anonymous if they wish. Individuals must call and book an appointment through the main office, no walk-in services available. Phone counselling is available.
