Program Description

This service is free of charge and offers educational prevention programs that are designed to raise youth awareness with regards to gambling, healthy/active living and making informal decisions.
The educational prevention programs:
• inform youth about gambling and risk-taking behaviours
• give youth access to resources and service providers
• help youth develop skills to make informal life decisions
• provides educational workshops for groups
• provides interactive sessions for adults involve in young people’s lives
• provides community involvement and support
• provides referrals to gambling treatment services
Educational workshops for parents, teachers, health professionals and other agencies/organizations play a vital role in helping students and young people understand the signs of problem gambling.
