The outpatient service assists teens with diagnoses of depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and anxiety. The process is generally explored through individual and/or family sessions, usually on a weekly basis. There is a component of psycho-education for both the youth and family, if agreed upon by youth and family. The approach focuses on exploring solutions, identifying available resources, and developing new approaches to coping with emotions, thoughts, and social situations.

Maryvale offers single session counselling for youth who are not currently connected with a counsellor but are in need of support. It is not a crisis line but a brief service that connects youth with a therapist to engage in a single session. The on-call therapist will assess the need for additional services at the end of the call.
