Provides counselling services and assists community members in understanding and processing feelings as well as taking ownership of their feelings; teachings of the unburdening process; the effects of trauma and the impacts of residential schools and family violence. Each individual is supported as they journey through the healing process by supporting the whole human being, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually.

NNADAP provides prevention strategies through culturally appropriate programming to educate and create awareness about addictions and addiction-free lifestyles. Intervention strategies provide assessments and referrals to treatment centres, preparation of individuals for entry to treatment centres or rehabilitation treatment programs. Strategies also include short-term counseling in crisis situations and out-patient counseling services. Aftercare and follow up services provide support to individuals returning home or to their community from treatment and provide ongoing care.

Youth programs provide culturally appropriate activities at the community level to help create healthy families and community environments in which community members and children can thrive. Services include theme dances, education on Mohawk culture, sports, workshops such as self-esteem, identity & land skills and other ongoing activities dedicated to youth.

The Child & Youth Wellness Team ensures that all First Nations’ children and youth receive supports and holistic care, necessary to increase their well-being. The program will provide culturally appropriate programs to educate, create awareness, and increase supports.

Provides support for loved ones of people experiencing addictions. Strategies include understanding addictions, cultural resources, and one-on-one counselling.
