Wellness Together Canada was created in response to an unprecedented rise in mental health and substance use concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with funding from the Government of Canada.
Wellness Together Canada is a collaborative project. Our mission is to provide high-quality resources for all Canadians—which is why we are supported by a wide network of organizations, with decades of specialized experience in wellness. From substance use support for older adults, to grief and loss counselling for youth, our partners are prepared to help—whatever the need.
Our partnership will deliver:
- a digital platform facilitating self-assessment, triage, crisis response, ongoing measurement and access to services.
- educational materials, resources, e-courses, online apps and peer support networks that have come together across a broad consortium looking to support in this crisis.
- triage into higher levels of care for both youth and adults through a single-session model (by text, phone, chat and video) with the provision of short-term care supports and a coordinated hand-off to more intensive care when necessary.
Wellness Together Canada is designed to be used on demand: you get to choose what you need, when you need it. Our services range from basic wellness information, to one-on-one sessions with a counsellor, to participating in a community of support. Whatever it is you’re looking for, we’re here to point you towards the best resources out there.

Homewood Health Centre’s Eating Disorders Program offers evidence-based treatment for eating disorders , including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder. This includes an environment where symptoms can be interrupted and supports are provided to help patients cope with the associated distress, while they learn the skills necessary to succeed following their return home.
The primary goal of the treatment program is to provide a period of interruption from the behavioral aspects of the eating disorder. While with the program patients are expected to eat a variety of appropriately portioned foods at regular intervals, and refrain from compensatory behaviors. Individuals are supported in practicing these behaviors with increasing autonomy (e.g. less meal supervision, longer passes in the community).
The program also provides the individual with a variety of skills to cope with day-to-day stressors and emotions, both while in the program but also after discharge, and to begin to address factors contributing to the maintenance of the eating disorder.
The program provides two specialized streams, a trauma focused stream and a substance use stream. Each stream is comprised of specialized groups, targeting trauma or substance use, in addition to the regular programming offered by the program.
