Program Description

The Green House is a drop-in program in Wiarton for adults with serious mental illness. It serves as the site for various social recreational rehabilitation services as well as for educational activities and outreach services from the Consumer/Survivor Development Project. Participants are required to behave in a way that does not compromise the safety of other participants or interfere with their enjoyment of program activities. The program offers some evening and weekend services on a variable basis, depending on program resources. Specific details about activities and hours can be obtained from the Green House Coordinator. Average program length is variable and long-term.

Access Information

Eligibility for drop-in program services is restricted to adults with a serious mental illness. Depending on the group activity, consideration is given to the client's physical health and fitness. Clients are required to share the cost of certain social/recreational activities. Referrals (including self-referrals) are reviewed by the Green House Coordinator and the intake process involves an interview.
