Program Description

Provide education and training to hearing hospitals and community agencies regarding hearing loss, the impact of hearing loss on mental health and accessibility issues. Provides outreach and advocacy to culturally deaf, orally deaf and hard-of-hearing communities regarding mental health issues and how to access mainstream services. The program specializes in accessibility issues related to hearing loss ranging from profound deafness to mild hearing loss and the types of accessibility that will match the needs of each consumer.
