Program Description

The consumer peer support initiative provides meaningful programs and activities which are planned and operated by consumers/survivors offering members: involvement in community activities; information on services and supports; a safe and confidential place; a time out from everyday stress; a place where learning can be fun; hope, reassurance and support to prevent setbacks in a person's emotional health. Peer support worker is available to inpatients at Alexandra and Marine General Hospital of Goderich and to inpatients at Stratford General Hospital. Model of service is peer support.
CMHA Huron Perth, leads in Huron County, and Choices for Change leads in Perth County.
