Diversion and Court Support - Mental Health

Program Description

The Mental Health Court Support Services program is available to assist individuals with a serious mental health illness who come into contact with the criminal justice system. Court support case management may involve coordination of mental health services, referrals to psychiatric care, obtaining social assistance and/or suitable housing, referrals to longer-term support services, or referrals to appropriate community services.

Access Information

Call the court support worker for information. Referrals can be made by the accused (self-referral), police, family and friends, duty or defence counsel, crown attorney or other community organizations.
