Program Description

The short-stay unit is for children and youth (up to the age of 18 years) who have mental health conditions that significantly impair their ability to function or place their safety at significant risk. The healthcare team will provide specialized clinical assessment and initiate treatment planning in a safe environment. Length of stay is 10-14 days. The healthcare team includes: Psychiatrist, Registered Nurse, Child-Youth Worker, and Social Worker.
