Program Description

Provides a variety of group social recreational and rehabilitation services for adults with serious mental illness. Services include life skills groups, social recreation activities, Community Kitchens, etc. Most services are offered in Owen Sound. However, some are delivered in collaboration with outreach workers based on five community mental health teams. Model of service is adult education. Access Information

Access to service is via the central office of Community Connections: Housing and Support. Eligibility for group services is restricted to adults with a serious mental illness. Depending on the group activity, consideration is given to the client's physical health and fitness. Referrals are reviewed by the Group Services worker and the intake process may involve one or more interviews.
