Program Description

The partial hospitalization unit provides a day program for youth with serious psychiatric disorders who require intensive treatment in order to function in the community. Youth with mental illness must be stable enough not to require inpatient services as this program is less intrusive than inpatient hospitalization. This unit does however have the ability to step-up or step-down interventions within a comprehensive treatment model. Expert care is delivered within an interdisciplinary team approach that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, an occupational therapist, nurses, and a recreation therapist. Model of service is medical, psychosocial, and interdisciplinary team.
