Short Term Crisis Support Beds

Program Description

The Short Stay Crisis Support Program responds to the intensive support needs of individuals with mental illness in a crisis situation which has placed them, or could potentially place them, in conflict with the criminal justice system. Following initial intake and assessment, individuals receive 24 X 7 client-centered support to de-escalate the mental health crisis in a safe environment, provide risk assessment and clinical interventions and promote wellness and community re-integration through specialized case management. Individuals in crisis typically stay for an average of five or six days, to a maximum stay of 14 days.
