Day/Night Care Mental Health - General

Program Description

Complementing the inpatient unit, this program provides comprehensive care to children and adolescents up to and including the age of 17 who are experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms. Unit functions include Section 23 classroom attendance for school re-integration, multidisciplinary assessment, and initiation of treatment and discharge planning.

Access Information

Decisions regarding admission are made by Unit Psychiatrists. Referrals originate from physicians, as well as a step-down for some inpatients. Inquiries from youth, parents, schools, and community organizations are welcome. Referral letter should be faxed to intake.
