Residential Supportive Treatment - Addictions

Program Description

Transition House is a short-term stabilization service for men who are either waiting for residential addiction treatment, completing community treatment, or returning to the community from residential treatment. We provide life skills, recreational opportunities, and short-term counselling services, in a supportive residential environment, for up to three months.

Access Information

Clients must be medically stable and have completed withdrawal from substances. Appointments are booked after receipt of Transition House application. Clients are free to define their own recovery goals. We accept men on methadone and support harm reduction strategies, although clients must remain abstinent during their stay. GAIN or ADAT assessment required to access this program. There is a brief Transition House application form, health screen (as per Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment), and recent Tuberculosis screening.
