Program Description

Assessments and treatment models are utilized based on client needs. These may include relapse prevention, cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychosocial therapy, guided self-change, harm reduction approach, etc. Outreach services are offered. We offer focus group sessions on various topics. Community treatment includes counselling services for individuals and family members who feel they are affected by someone's substance use.

Organization's Current Reported COVID-19 Response

COVID-19: The Alliance Centre remain open with regular hours but do all our screenings over the phone. We are also screening all clients that come to the door with the Covid-19 screening checklist, made available through the West Nipissing General Hospital as we are a department of that hospital. Any clients that answer yes to any of the questions on the questionnaire are given a card with the phone numbers for the North Bay/Parry Sound District Health Unit and Telehealth Ontario.

Access Information

Referrals are accepted by individual seeking treatment, family physician, probation and parole, and school. These are scheduled through the main office. Screening appointments are available weekdays and contact will be made within 48 hours of the initial referral. Clients may access both mental health and substance abuse services through the same intake process. Clients must not be impaired.
