Program Description

Comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment planning for adults who are affected by drug or alcohol problems, concurrent disorders and/or problem gambling. Referrals when required. Community treatment: cognitive-behavioural, bio-psychosocial, harm reduction, and abstinence. Offer relapse prevention, treatment for family members, guided self-change, and aftercare following residential treatment. New Directions is based in Owen Sound and provides outreach to the following communities: Durham, Hanover, Kincardine, Meaford, Southampton, Walkerton, and Wiarton. Average program length is three to six months.

There are other forms of assessment, beyond the MOH-approved standardized assessment tools, required to access this program. Treatment offered in one of our eight sites. Treatment offered to those with alcohol or drug concerns and/or family members.
