Program Description

Biopsychosocial approach. Must have completed the short-term program. Block #1 is a highly structured program for the first 28 days which includes therapy, workshops, discussion sessions, relaxation sessions, and physical activities. For Blocks #2 and #3, the program leaves the client in charge of their spare time (afternoons once in a while, and evenings) and the client should almost be ready to leave for Block #4 stage.

Access Information

Residents from the Ottawa area are to contact Service Access to Recovery (SAR), formerly the Ottawa Addictions Access and Referral Services (OAARS) first. Other forms of assessment, beyond the MOH-approved standardized assessment tools, required to access this program include an in-house questionnaire and ongoing assessments every three weeks to determine if the client needs another 28 day program and/or comply with the program expectations. Clients must have completed a short program. Clients must be abstinent for five days prior to program start.
