Program Description

This residential program uses a cognitive behavioural approach. The morning is reserved for the academic component of the treatment program. The therapeutic component includes individual and group therapy, clinical workshops and recreational activities. A full-time teacher is on-site providing services under Section 23. Program components for families include family therapy, parental counselling, parental educational group and referrals as necessary. Three month follow-up is also included with this program.

Access Information

The majority of youth are referred to this residential program by the school administration or assessment agencies. Clients are admitted following an assessment using the MOH tools and a family assessment, when possible. Transitional youth will be considered on a case by case basis.
