Program Description

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a treatment that is used as a substitute for individuals abusing prescription medications and or harmful street drugs. It helps to prevent the withdrawal symptoms that are experienced when discontinuing the use of illicit substances. MAT helps to maintain and manage individuals suffering from Substance Use Disorder while decreasing possible criminal behaviour, negative lifestyle choices, and potential health risks associated with illicit drug abuse.

Organization's Current Reported COVID-19 Response

COVID-19: Please note Northwood Recovery clinic will remain open for our regular business hours during the COVID-19 pandemic. ALL clients attending the clinic will be screened for COVID-19 according to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care recommendations prior to entering the clinic and hand hygiene will be required. We will be accepting new intakes during the pandemic, but we do request they call ahead if possible.
