Residential Withdrawal Management Centres

Program Description

Clients are assessed at time of admission for medical/psychiatric stability and risk factors. Medical consultation provided through Grand River Hospital Emergency Department and client's family doctors. Assessment tools administered following the crisis stage and prior to transfer to residential bed.

Access Information

Requires 24-hour monitoring of withdrawal symptoms. Client must be medically and psychiatrically stable. Emotional and/or physical violence not tolerated. Must bring own medications with up-to-date instructions/labels.
