Addictions Treatment - Substance Abuse

Program Description

Use cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused, education, systems theory, stages of change, dialectical behavioural therapy, and client-directed goals. Counselling sessions are generally 60 minutes. Brief duration however individualized for each client. Limited follow up for outcome evaluation. Youth services provided bi-weekly at secondary schools throughout the region.

Organization's Current Reported COVID-19 Response

COVID-19: CASON offices will be closed to the general public effective March 17, 2020. Clients will receive counselling at their regularly scheduled appointment time via telephone. All groups have been postponed. New contacts being accepted by telephone.

Access Information

Family members and significant others are invited to attend with principal client or by themselves. Program encourages family participation and inclusion in community treatment through couples and family therapy. Self referrals are welcome. Must book an appointment through the main office.
