Case Management/Supportive Counselling & Services - Mental Health
The program’s focus is to engage individuals, who may struggle with issues such as poverty, unemployment, mental health and addiction, and homelessness, who are often disengaged from the health and social service system. Program staff work to ensure they are connected with available services and to support downtown business owners and patrons by responding to situations that do not require police assistance.
In addition to supporting these individuals, business owners and patrons will have access to education and resources that will support them.
Anyone may refer to this program, including physicians, families, service providers, community members and individuals.
Services are provided at a safe location that best meets the needs of individuals. Individuals can be seen in shelters, treatment facilities, within their own home environment, or in a safe community setting. All referrals will be screened based on level of need and urgency. All options for service provision will be reviewed.
