Program Description

The Community Crisis Centre is a partnership of area hospitals and social organizations committed to providing 24-hour crisis response services to residents of Windsor and Essex County who are experiencing serious mental illnesses and/or acute psychosocial problems. Services include a 24-hour crisis phone line; walk-in service at the emergency department at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus is available from 0700-2300; follow-up crisis counselling and referrals; and suicide prevention education programs. Model of service is mental health crisis intervention, and involvement with the program is determined by client need.

Access Information

The Community Crisis Centre (CCC) is open to anyone who believes they are experiencing a mental health or acute psychosocial crisis. Appointments are not needed for individuals who present at the ER or at walk-in location. A client, friend or family member, another service provider, organization, or police with the client's permission may make a referral.
