Diversion and Court Support - Mental Health

Program Description

Individuals with a mental illness and/or developmental disability who are in conflict with the law with a minor offence as a result of their illness, may have their case diverted from the criminal justice system at the discretion of the Provincial Crown Attorney.

The following options may be offered:
- diversion
- consultation and education
- coordination of psychiatric assessments
- short term case management support
