Program Description

The Urgent Consult Clinic is an outpatient clinic that sees children and youth who are presenting with suicidal/homicidal ideation, have made threats of violence, have dyscontrol due to drugs or psychosis, or other urgent mental health concerns that require an immediate risk assessment. The assessment includes a full history taken by a team member who then consults with the Psychiatrist; a diagnosis is provided if needed, and brief crisis-oriented interventions including behavioural and medical management is provided.

Access Information

Complete online referral. Individuals may be referred by Emergency Rooms, Family Physicians, School Boards and Children’s Mental Health Organizations.
