Addictions Treatment - Problem Gambling

Program Description

The Problem Gambling Service provides group and limited one-to-one counselling for those experiencing problem gambling and technology use as well as support and counselling for family members, who may be seen with or without the individual with the identified problem. Family involvement is encouraged.  Counselling is solution-focused, using cognitive-behavioural interventions, relapse prevention and harm reduction strategies.  Services include open First Phase Preparation & Skills groups, closed 8-week Skills for Change groups, open Moving Forward/Follow-up groups, Family Psychoeducation groups, and others designed for specific issues and concerns. Staff also provides professional training, outreach and public information sessions on problem gambling, gaming, and technology overuse issues, treatment and prevention.

Access Information

Self-referral through Access CAMH. If there are additional concerns with addiction or mental health appropriate professional referral and consultation will be sought.
