Program Description

The Mental Health Rehabilitation Program is an inpatient service serving adults from the northwestern Ontario region with serious mental illness mainly within the DSM-V diagnostic category of schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders.

The program utilizes a psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery model of client-centered care and team approach. The team partners with individuals to facilitate their mental health recovery by offering goal oriented programs, skill maintenance and development, and return to community living.

Access Information

Referrals are accepted from community mental health programs and organizations within the northwestern Ontario region.

Referrals are physician-to-physician and are required to meet the program admission criteria.
