Program Description

Peel Outreach Services offers a continuum of Housing Support that seeks to end homelessness in the Peel Region and increase access to mainstream services. This multi-agency collaboration consists of the Region of Peel, Peel Addiction Assessment and Referral Centre (PAARC), Supportive Housing in Peel (SHIP) and CMHA Peel Dufferin.

Access Information

This program is available to families or individuals who are homeless, transient, or at imminent risk of homelessness (e.g. having received an eviction notice). Referrals are accepted from all sources. MOHLTC-approved standardized assessments are provided in this program by the substance abuse outreach workers and the concurrent disorders worker. Service includes an evening and weekend 'van shift' component that is able to respond to clients in the community who require help to meet basic needs (e.g. food, sleeping bag) or after-hours needle exchange.
