Program Description

This clinic provides rapid access to a mental health assessment for clients who are experiencing crisis situations. Clients will be offer time-limited services with a psychiatrist and/or social worker. The primary mandate is to assist youth recovering from a crisis and transition them to longer-term services. This service is eligible to clients who are: experiencing acute functional change or new onset of symptoms; seeking urgent (no emergent) safety assessment; recently discharge from hospital with no timely follow-up; recent ER visits with no timely follow-up. Clients must not have other ongoing psychiatric care or other professional supports to access this service.
