Crisis Beds

Type of Service

Short Term Crisis Support Beds

Program Description

Residential Crisis Beds - our residential program is available for up to five clients who are experiencing a mental health or psychosocial crisis. Our service and general philosophy is very much client-driven, providing non-medical support which allows for flexible care provision and promotion of collaborative crisis planning, for approximately three days duration. Model of service is crisis intervention.

Access Information

Clients will usually access the crisis line first. They may request a mobile visit, or we may suggest to them that a face to face assessment may be helpful. At this point, our team would travel to the person in need of crisis intervention. Admissions to our crisis beds may be an option. It is important to note that we do admit directly to the beds in some circumstances, however, we strive to provide crisis intervention options in the least intrusive manner.
