Addictions Treatment - Substance Abuse

Program Description

The ECD project is an addiction treatment service for women who are pregnant and/or have children less than six years of age. This service is to help mothers to reduce or stop consuming alcohol and/or other drugs that are dangerous during pregnancy and/or that are getting in the way of her being a healthier parent. The program will assess, support, advocate and provide counselling (including psychosocial and cognitive-behavioural) in an individual, family or group format. Does not provide methadone treatment. This is not a mandated program. Clients will choose whether or not they want to attend for services. Clients can be seen in the community if needed.

Access Information

The MOHLTC-approved standardized assessments are provided in-house through this organization as well as the partner agencies that provide direct service. The tools can be administered by phone or in person. MOHLTC admission and discharge criteria are utilized. Women and service providers can call to make an appointment or obtain information about the service.
