It is a 10 week psychoeducational program with weekly sessions that focus on the development of different skills with emphasis on informed decisions about substance use. Using a proven Life Skills Model, reliable information is presented to the group using videos, table discussion and behaviour rehearsals to enhance the learning environment and promote skill development. Rebound North is a volunteer based program committed to helping young people develop skills that promote a positive response to themselves, others and their community. Weekly topics include: Communication, Decision Making, Goal Setting, Alcohol, Coping Skills/Marijuana, Relationships, Prescription Drugs, Self-Respect, Risk Taking/Social Media, and Graduation/Where Do I Go From Here?
