Crisis Intervention

Program Description

Crisis intervention and prevention services including a toll-free crisis line, community mobile support workers, crisis and safe beds, withdrawal management services and information and referrals. The crisis line offers crisis prevention and intervention, information, referrals and support to callers in crisis, family members and service providers. Community mobile support workers offer in-person crisis intervention services in a safe location; may accompany clients to the hospital for further consultation. Mobile workers serve the communities and surrounding areas of Kenora, Dryden, Fort Frances and Red Lake.

Access Information

Access to community mobile support workers and the stabilization unit is through the crisis line. Self and professional referrals are accepted for all service components, family members and service providers can also contact the program for information and support.

The crisis counsellor can be accessed by calling the crisis line or attending the walk-in crisis clinic located in the west wing of the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
