Program Description

Some individuals may receive case management services and support through a community treatment order (CTO). A CTO is a treatment and service plan which is issued by a physician in consultation and coordination with the consumer and service providers. Psychiatric case managers offer the specific services identified in the CTO to the consumer. Average length of stay is six months to a year.

A CTO is issued by an attending physician or psychiatrist, who will arrange for the required community services.
